The short version: there are no accounts, no advertising, no trackers and no third-party scripts. We record the country and state a question came from; your IP address is used to work that out and is never stored. Rate limiting counts requests under a scrambled code derived from the address that cannot be turned back into it, and those counters delete themselves within hours. What you type is kept for 90 days, unlinked to you, so responses can be reviewed and improved. Then it is deleted. If you choose to publish a result, that page is public for 90 days too — and the text you typed is not part of it.
When a check completes, one record is written containing:
Records are deleted automatically 90 days after they are written.
A finished check has a Share control. Nothing is published unless you press it. When you do, a page is created at a web address anyone holding it can open, and it stays there for 90 days — the page itself prints the date it goes. A shared page also carries a re-check control: pressing it runs the research again, notes on the page anything that has changed since, and restarts that page’s 90 days from the day it was pressed. Pages nobody re-checks still delete themselves on schedule.
The text you typed is not published. The page carries what the check made of it: the claims it was separated into, the finding on each, the sources, and the origin trail. Anything typed into the challenge box stays off the page too. The original wording, along with anything personal that happened to be in it, stays out. Nothing on the page identifies who ran the check.
These pages are marked not to be indexed by search engines, so they are found by being shared rather than by being searched for. If you want one taken down before its date, get in touch with the address and it will be deleted.
Your IP address is not kept. It is used momentarily to apply rate limits and to work out which country and state a request came from, and is never written down. There are no cookies, no advertising pixels, no fingerprinting, and no account, so there is nothing that ties a question to a person.
Location is recorded no more precisely than country and state. City is deliberately not collected: a town alongside a political or medical question starts to narrow who might have asked it, and the extra detail would tell us nothing worth that.
This is deliberate. People bring political, medical and religious questions here, and a record pairing someone's identity with their doubts is a thing worth not creating.
To see where the checking goes wrong. Which findings get disputed, which questions come back badly worded, which claims are repeatedly misread — none of that can be reconstructed later, and without it the site cannot get better. Records are read by its operator only.
The text you enter is sent to Anthropic, whose Claude model does the analysis, and searches derived from it go to web search providers in order to retrieve sources. The site is hosted by Netlify, who process requests in order to serve it. Nothing is sold, shared or passed to anyone else, and there are no third-party scripts on any page.
You never need to identify yourself or anyone else to use this. Paste the claim, not the message headers. If you do include personal details they will sit in the record until it expires, so it is better not to.
Because nothing is linked to an identity, there is no account to export or delete, and no reliable way to find one particular record among the others. If you want something removed, get in touch quickly with enough detail to identify it and it will be deleted. Otherwise it goes on its own within 90 days.
This site is not intended for children under 13, and nothing is knowingly collected from them.
This policy may change. The date at the top says when it last did.
